Hi Gang!! A bit of backstory: My family are serious Anglophiles. I’ve always been an #Austingirl with a deep affinity for period dramas. Over the years, my husband Stan has mutually embraced rewatches of Downton Abbey although the glory of a young, WET, white-shirted Colin Firth in BBC’s Pride & Prejudice emerging from his private pond somehow eludes him. Odd.
Our children are also deep into the bandwagon with enthusiastic shouts of STODGY whist watching GBB (that’s The Great British Bake Off, obvi). But it was during the pandemic that I really became enraptured with British cuisine, fawning over photos of Welsh rarebit, pork pies, and every Brit culinary morsel that Instagram provided me. So we had years to plan and obsess over a trip that happened over spring break.
We packed a lot into nine days, and I wish we had done more!! It was a defining trip for our little family, and reflecting on it here brings me right back. Please message me if you have any questions about our agenda.
